GSA Product Design Degree Show 2011

GSA Product Design Degree Show 2011
This work was done as part of a major 2011 graduating class project to design an exhibition space for our upcoming degree show in the same year. My role in this project was to translate the group's vision into a 3D CAD model to give it a realistic feel.

As a class, we had the task of transforming our regular studio into a clean, crisp and enticing exhibition space. We chose our theme do depict simplicity and to feel 'lightweight';  the reason being that we wanted our work to be the stand out feature of the exhibition.
The Exhibition Design
Artist's renderings of the studio space before (L) and after (R) implementing the exhibition design.
Exterior view of the exhibition, showing the intended approach to the title wall.
Interior view of the exhibition space showing the main entrance.
View from the exhibition entrance. The use of blinds to display the work gave an 'airy' and lightweight feel whilst the plain white colouring of the space keeps it it clean and ensures that the displayed work receives most of the attention.
 The Degree Show
Building the show. This was to be the last degree show held in the old Foulis building so it was already special in it's own right.
Interior view of the exhibition space with some work displayed on the boards.
The Exhibition Gets busy.
